Neurosurgery & Spine at Narayan Hospital
Our neurosurgery service treats conditions of the brain, spine and nerves. Head injuries arriving through the emergency room are assessed by the neurosurgeon, and planned brain and spine operations are carried out in the hospital’s theatres with intensive care available afterwards.

Common questions
When is a headache or back pain an emergency?
Come in immediately if pain follows a head injury or fall, or comes with vomiting, drowsiness, fits, weakness, numbness, or loss of bladder or bowel control.
Does every slipped disc need surgery?
No. Most improve with rest, medicines and physiotherapy. Surgery is considered when pain persists despite treatment or there is weakness or nerve damage.
Should I bring my old scans?
Yes. Bring any CT or MRI films, reports and prescriptions — they save time and repeat tests.
